Jeff Potter, FAIA has consistently delivered notable design and maintained enduring client relationships since founding the firm in 1983.  Jeff’s belief in design as a shaper of great communities drives his practice.

 

He is a skilled problem-seeker, having guided numerous school districts and community group through complex planning processes.  He is an award-winning Architect, receiving recognition from design juries and from the American Institute of Architects, being elevated to its College of Fellow.

 

Jeff’s career began upon graduation from Texas A&M University with Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture degrees.  In 2009, Jeff and Shelley Potter were inducted as the first husband-and-wife Outstanding Alumni of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M university.

 

Jeff’s commitment to his profession is evident in his leadership of the American Institute of Architects, serving as President of the Texas Society of Architects in 2004 and elected to serve as President of the 75,000 member American Institute of Architects in 2012.  Jeff’s engagement with legislative advocacy, interstate and international practice and academia afford him an extraordinarily unique practice viewpoint.

 

He has been a consistent voice for a better built environment in east Texas, serving on numerous commissions and task forces.  It is this outward-looking and community-minded spirit that Jeff brings to the benefit of the clients and community
